Become A Producer

1. Attend the Orientation Class – this is a FREE class and open to the public – It’s mandatory for new producers. Learn what we’re all about.
2. Become a Community Producer- call TVCTV at 343-1100 to register.
3. Enroll in training classes – after paying your fees, contact us for class scheduling.
4. Reserve Studio time and/or equipment – When you’ve completed your training and are ready to produce a show. Call us or walk-in to make reservations.
5. Shoot your show – whether it’s in the field or in the Studio – plan your productions carefully.
6. Submit your Program Request Form. Its included with your TVCTV Producer Registration packet. It must be submitted a week in advance of your show.

Currently, TVCTV receives 15 percent of its operating budget from the City of Boise’s general funds. The balance of TVCTV funds must come from outside sources. TVCTV relies on income from TVCTV supporters, TVCTV production services, major donors and granting organizations. TVCTV can only cable cast if you participate. Support categories are established in the following ways:

PRODUCERS FEES:
Individual Producer- $45 (Boise resident) / $50 (Non-Boise-resident)
Students / Seniors – $30
Family (3 persons) – $ 70 (Boise resident) / $80 (Non-Boise-resident) ($10 for ea. addt’l person)
School K-12 (3 persons) – $ 100 (Boise schools) / $125 (non-Boise schools) ($10 for ea. addt’l )
Organization/ University / College (4persons) – $ 200 (Boise) / $250 (non-Boise) $ 20 for ea. addt’l )
Imported Programs $300

Annual Dues Include:
Use of TVCTV’s Television Production Equipment & Facilities
Programming privileges – one 30 minute show per week for 52 weeks
Subscription to TVCTV’s newsletter The Public Eye

If you require more than 30 minutes of programming per week, an additional fee will be charged. Individuals, Students and Seniors can add another 1/2 hour per week by paying an additional annual fee of $ 25. For Families the fee for additional programming time per half hour, is – $ 40, for Schools – $ 50, for Organizations & University/College – $ 100. This is an annual fee.

Certification and TVCTV training courses are mandatory for all TVCTV producers. Visit our Calendar for scheduled classes.
